A Homebuyer Story
“Our real estate journey didn’t go as expected, it went better than. And, Sarah was there every step of the way filling us with knowledge about the entire St. Louis Metro area.” -The Murray’s
A story from Sarah’s side of the journey…
They weren’t planning to fall in love with St. Charles.
They had been renting in St. Louis for years; close to work, close to friends, close to the buzz. But once their second baby arrived, “close” started to mean something different.
Close to parks.
Close to good schools.
Close to grandparents.
We toured homes all over St. Charles County; Wentzville, Cottleville, O’Fallon, St. Peters. We had a checklist. Open kitchen. Space for a home office. Backyard big enough for a swing set and a dog they swore they“weren’t getting yet.”
Then we walked into a two-story tucked into a quiet subdivision just minutes from Historic Main Street. It wasn’t brand new. The countertops weren’t trendy. But the neighborhood? Kids riding bikes. Neighbors waving. Someone grilling at 4pm on a Saturday. They stood in the backyard and said, “This feels like how we grew up.”
That was the moment.
We talked strategy because let’s be honest, our market can move fast. St. Charles isn’t just “more affordable” anymore. It’s competitive. We crafted a smart offer that protected them and positioned them well.
And when they got the call that they won?
They drove straight to Main Street that night. Walked by the river. Got ice cream. And talked about which room would be the nursery and where they’d host Thanksgiving.
That’s what buying a home here really is.
It’s not just square footage. It’s not just interest rates. It’s deciding what kind of lifestyle you want your kids to remember.
And in St. Louis and St. Charles County, Missouri that choice is full of possibility.
